I’m Valentina Manini of CybeRex Cattery and I’m a devon rex breeder since 2000 (house hold pets owner since my 6th year of age!).
I bought my first devon rex as a pet, just because I was in love with the breed.
But after some time I was living with Gondar (a brown tabby boy with a very very strong temperament) I understood that a devon rex is much more than a simple cat !
They make your life better… well… also a bit FULL ;-)
And all this just BEING ALWAYS with you !
They are incredible creatures willing to love you and just ask back to be loved.
Of course this is the positive side of living with a devon… every devon owner has tons of episodes (funny or crazy ones) to tell.
My first mentor and friend Roberta of Grandi Orecchie’s cattery suggested me to look for a girl, and was willing to help me in everything.

So I began my search.
And also my studies !
There was so much to learn… well, learning never ends in a breeder life.
After some months I was waiting for my foundation queen from Sweden, Delilah :-)
The most delightful pointed devon I had ever seen.
I was in love.

When she arrived I felt that something new was going to start.
I imagined the joy to have kittens around, the joy to see them grow up, the joy to have more devons sharing the home with me.
But it was not so simple.
Breeding is not simple at all.
I had my joyfull moments, and they were real joy.
Having devon kittens around is magical !
Helping your queen to deliver a litter is even better.
But I must admit that when a sad moment comes (expecially if more than one at the same time !) it’s very hard to go on and I considered more than once to stop breeding.
But this is a very special cat :-)
And I always choosed to go on, with even more passion and love.
I feel the devon rex is part of my life and always will be.

I don’t know how long I will go on with breeding. Maybe some years, maybe a lot of years (as I hope)!
But untill that moment I will do of my best to breed healthy little free spirits, sweet aliens with a real joy for life.
Devon aliens who will make your life better, give you much love and conquer your heart. And of course who will also provide you a lot troubles ;-)

I have to thank my friend Roberta of Grandi orecchie cattery, she helped me to start and shared with me her experiences breeding devons: 10 years of knowledge! I learnt a lot from her and I still call her when questions rise in my mind :-)

I have to thank my friend BJ Cobb of Spice & Sugar cattery.
She trusted me even if I was a newbie ! She helped me with the english language, she introduced me to the US and Canadian breeders, she shipped to me my first US devon (Stargate) and is still a dear friend.

I have to thank my friend Natalia of Rateapelitan cattery :-)
We always shared everything, the nice and bad moments and it’s great to know that in every moment of day or night, when your queen is delivering a litter, you have someone in direct line eager to know about your new borns :-) Ready to enjoy it with you and ready to cry with you if something wrong happens.

I have to thank Gerri Logan for being always so available and ready to advice me!

I have to thank Linda & Susan, Denis and Kristen who contributed in a very important way to my breeding program with Northshore Just a Blast. A very special kitten from very special breeders.

And last but not least I have to thank my friend Ilenia of Alienfactory cattery.
We are working together and it makes me enjoy everything much more !
She is a dear friend I totally trust, a cat friend and a friend for life.
